Proofs and Cancellation

Your proofs are free of charge. Proofs are normally emailed to you but if you would like a paper copy sent in the post let us know.

Checking Proofs
Before we can print any job it must first be approved by the customer. This stage is very important to ensure that the product is printed as you expect. We’ve suggested the key areas to look in the below list, and we always recommend to (if you can) get a friend to give it a once over. It’s surprising how effective a fresh set of eyes can be at spotting mistakes!

Key Areas to check.

  • Spelling (and grammar!)
  • Details (Phone numbers, email addresses, dates and times!)
  • Size (A6 is a lot smaller than A4!)
  • Pictures and Logos (Are they sharp enough?)

Very often a designer will retype information supplied when creating a proof. For this reason all elements on the card must be checked for spelling and grammar (your and you’re!), this also includes phone numbers, email addresses and dates!

Is all the information that you require on the product? Are the date, place and time correct for the wedding? Have you included an RSVP? With a business card does this have all of the information needed, i.e. email, direct line and fax number? With a letterhead does it need the company number, VAT number and registered address?

Pictures and Logos
If you have supplied us with your own picture or logo it is worth checking that it will print clearly. As a typical monitor/screen displays at 72dpi (dots per inch) and commercial print is produced at 300dpi you will have to zoom in to 400% to check logo’s and pictures. If at this level the logo appears distorted you might want to consider supplying a higher resolution logo.

If you are happy with your proof please telephone or send us an email to confirm that you approve the proof. We are unable to book in a job to print until we have this confirmation from you.

We do not reproof unless specifically requested to do so, in which case a charge of £15 per reproof will be made. For Orders of Service a second/amended set of proofs will be supplied without charge.

Cancellations made after proof stage will be charged at £15 per job.

Cancellations made after printing stage will be charged at the full price of the job.


Full payment is required before the commencement of printing, usually done at proof approval stage. You may pay by bank transfer, the details of which are on the bottom of your invoice, cheque or alternatively debit/credit card by telephone. Please note there is a 2% charge if paying by credit card.


Please allow 3 to 5 days for your digital proof and 10 days after approval for your goods to be despatched. These timings cannot be guaranteed as bespoke designs may take longer to proof.


All our parcels are sent out on a next day delivery and will require a signature. Please make sure someone is there to sign for them or supply us with an alternative address. You can of course call in to collect your stationery from us.


We will endeavour to supply all of the designs as illustrated on our website but materials are subject to third party suppliers. In the event of a supplier discontinuing an item we will substitute with the closest available alternative.
